Am I seeing that correctly? It looks like the little piece on the left broke off the larger fan on the right. Could it have been broken off during shipment? If that's the case then I'd call the seller and tell him/her what you've received -a small broken off fan with no roots attached for the 2nd fan on a daylily............Maryl
