From an order from Nola's for "Midnight Masterpiece," I got this big purple iris with white marks over hafts and around the beard. Beard is whitish on the end, but yellow down in the throat. Certainly is NOT Midnight Masterpiece. Looking over Nola's catalog, I'm guessing it's "Long's Peak." Does anyone have an opinion?

No, it has not rebloomed yet but with the drought I'm not realy surprised. Thank you for your suggestion of Mariposa Autumn, I'll go check it out.
Not sure what's going on with Schrieners I've been getting quite a few wrong ones the last two years. Thumbs down

My first big order was from Schreiner's last year. I guess we'll see how many are correct for me. Crossing Fingers! Belgian princess has sent up her first bloom stalk and a husky one.

Barbara,.
'Wintry' Sky was one of the first to open here and is long-blooming.. It is nicely ruffled, even if my pictures don't show it. If you need piece, let me know.

Here is Long's Peak from Nola's in 2015. I don't think yours is Long's Peak.

Thank you for your offer Sherry, but this happened to be the fastest ID for me... *Blush* I looked at the wrong tag (still in a pot) and the Iris is Never Been Kissed.

yadah_tyger said:My first thought was also Wintry Sky as well, but the NOID has ruffled edges. My second thought was maybe a Blyth iris.

And it is a very beautiful Iris.

John, you were right it was a Blyth Iris. Hurray!

I had another good luck event today. I had another potted Iris that was marked wrong name from last year. Looked at it, then took it over to 'heavenly body' and it's the same Iris. Thumbs up

I have an iris that was supposed to be Sotto Voce. I waited 3 years looking forward to that beautiful soft color combination...and this is the bloom I discovered today! Hilarious! I like the colors...but I have a lot in similar colors/pattern. If you recognize it that would be great to know. It's similar to Hi Calypso (shown below) but not the same.

This intermediate opened yesterday and I don't recognize it at all. I didn't plant any new irises in that area so it must have been there for quite a while without blooming.

I have this iris labeled as `Apricot Buff' but I can't find it in any iris database. I received it from my
dear friend Muddymitts:

I had three open up today that are all NOT what I ordered! It is sooooooo frustrating to wait two years, and when it finally blooms it is not the iris you wanted!

Another Schreiner faux pas - Batik is no Batik.

Melted Butter is something like a mix between Instructor and Tennessee Gentleman. I know it is NOT Instructor because Instructor opened right beside it.

And Skiddle NoID is a great bloomer, but not Skiddle.

I will post pics tonight so you wise people can help me ID these cute no names. Big Grin
