Yes, the glass is great and the flower is even better.

Fall has finally come to Florida. I went out early this morning and could feel a slight nip in the air. I'm so glad to be free of that terrible heat and humidity. I had singing practice this morning and then it was back in the OC to clean, pitch, dunk and organize. Only four more double windows to go and I'm ready to start returning the orchids to their places.

You have such interesting Orchids! I love the Isochilus!
Regarding the Dendrochilum javieri ( I just had to look up which name is accepted, it is now javieriense) - I think the leaves on yours are too wide. I know this one as having much narrower, somewhat thick leaves and a very dense spike?

Seems I like some of the off beat orchids. As far as javieriense being the name, I've updated the files, but it would not be the fist time I had a wrong tag from a grower

Blc. Glenn Maidment 'Aranbeem' with 2 more flowers. These took DAYS to
open and I still see a couple of spots. I hope it's just my watering technique
and is it possible that white flowers are more fussy?

I enjoyed the show, Ted. I need more time to digest it but off and running to a nursing home concert. I made good progress on the OC cleaning yesterday. Two more days should wrap it up but I have another presentation tomorrow.

We cross posted, Lindsey. Love the floof on that one. Good news is I see no thrip damage and they prefer the light colored flowers.

Lovely and it is nice to know it is smallish. Our mornings are getting coolish here and I've been bringing plants into the house and the smaller the better.

And there is Cattleya Heathii, pretty in pink -
Thumb of 2016-10-25/Ursula/c02e2e Thumb of 2016-10-25/Ursula/2b3164

I should mention that this is Heathii 1, (loddegesii x walkeriana), as there is also a Heathii 2 (schroederae x coccinea), both registered in 1907.

Mr. Heath really liked naming orchids after himself, didn't he? It's so pretty.

I have only one new bloom spike to greet me home from my trip - this is a small cork raft of 3 little Brassies that I got in Apopka last year. Only one had a tag, B. Jairak Kiss which is not a registered name if memory serves me. Anyway, here it is, and I do recall that it was cream with a purple striped lip when it bloomed last so ??? Shrug! It has two more good looking little spikes coming along, so we'll see how they look.

Yellow Bird still showing off the last spike, and Punakea nearly finished, but the pretty lip markings are more evident as the petals fade a bit.
