Can anyone tell me the type of Iris that is ALL pink but also has rainbowy colors? My brother said that's the only Iris he thought was actually really pretty, and now I'm dying to see what it looks like. He can't find the pic, and neither can I, but I'm hoping someone can identify/show me a type of Iris like that??

I didn't know where else to post this question…

Perhaps he means

Chasing Rainbows

It can't be ALL pink if it also has other rainbowy colors.

No, it wasn't ALL pink. Its petals were absolutely beautiful (like silk), and mainly pink. It had touches of purple glinting off of it, almost like a crow's plumage when in the sun. It was stunning, and was one of the popular photos on here a while ago. It had many likes and acorns.

What other colors are in it that make it rainbow-ish?

If it had acorns, then it won't be 'Honey Pie', but that's what comes to mind based on the description:

I'm afraid that your description is still way too vague.

Was it a tall barded? Or something shorter?
What color was the beard?
Did it have defined borders on either the standards or falls? Or were the colors blended?
was it ruffled? Or tailored? Falls wide or narrow? Standards domed or flared? Were the standards a different color than the falls?

Did you know that there are probably thousands of registered pink iris?

The only other thing I can suggest is going back through the images posted to the database in date order: https://garden.org/apps/plant_...

Might take a while, but you may find it that way.

Thanks guys. It really doesn't matter to me, but my sister really wanted to know. I can see it in my mind's eye right now, so I'll try to give as accurate a description as possible:
It is a tall-bearded.
A very light pink much like Glitter Repink or Pinkity, with just the slightest hint of different shades of blue & purple.
I thought for sure that it was posted by @ARUBA1334, but I went through their pictures all the way back to 2020 and didn't see it, so I could be wrong.
It was a photo of single bloom, I don't recall seeing any others around it.

Anyway, like I said, I don't want anyone giving themselves a headache trying to look for this iris. Hilarious! And it was at least a year and a half ago that I saw it on this website, so my image of it might be a bit warped. With all the thousands of irises out there, it could be so many. Shrug!

Thanks, guys. They're all so pretty, and definitely worth being in the garden!

I also don't remember its petals being frilled so much at the edges. They were more straight petals.

That picture on Pinterest isn't of 'Livy'. It is my picture (although not put there by me) of another iris called 'Chasing Lightning'.

No, not that one, Frillylilly. Too much purple.
