Hey, I'm back in the USA and connected to a real internet connection again! Fortunately, doesn't look like anything we want has sold out while I've been disconnected. Invoices will have to wait until Jim installs Excel on this computer, as my temporary use thing has run out (not that I can't do totals by hand, but I like to double check them!).

The 'Marilyn' bulbs are 10 per bag, like all the amaryllises. $91.90 per bag = $9.19 per bulb. I'd like at least 1 and can take up to 4, if you (or anybody else) is interested. LMK if you would want these instead of or in addition to the 'Lemon Star'.

Am I correct that we're not ordering 'Thalia' daffs this year? Lisa's neighbor was interested, but nobody else chimed in. I think Terri may be waiting to see if her late-planted ones perform. We can likely do them next year.

Terri, did you see that ADR has snowdrops this year? I don't know how good these prices are (about $100 for 150 double 'Flore Pleno' and $72 for 150 single 'Woronii'. I could do 25 or 50, don't want to commit to more since they have to be planted asap.

Thanks! VE usually has slightly better prices on crocuses, too.

RIck, did you decide about Lemon Star and/or Marylyn amaryllises?

OK Rick, I'm cancelling Lemon Star (you were the only one interested in that one, I think) and adding Marilyn. I want 1 Marilyn for a friend (it's her mom's name) and 1 or 3 for myself. So if more people are interested, I can do with just 2, or I can take 4. We'll figure it out. What's the minimum number of 'Marilyn' that you want? And are you interested in one of any of the other varieties we're getting? (Tango, Picasso, Amadeus, Bolero)

Thanks, Terri. I think that's all the info I need to place the order. At last!

OK, but you may need to take 6 'Marilyn' unless somebody else wants one... Did you get that double white Peruvian one last year? It had some green, but not as much as 'Marilyn', and a quite different petal form, much less formal.

At the last moment, an assortment of lighter-colored Muscari armeniacum jumped into the cart. I know not to put them in with the regular species (the one Lisa's been planting by the crate), because although they look great like that, they'll eventually be crowded out (I did that, can you tell?). However, I have plenty of places where a separate little drift would be a wonderful highlight.

Anybody want "in" on those? I want to keep 75-100 (and if I keep 150, that's fine). I got 'Atlantic' ($5 for 25), 'Peppermint' ($3.50 for 25), and 'Valerie Finnis' ( $3.50 for 25). That adds up to an assortment of 75 bulbs for $12.50. I might also add the pure white one from VE ('Siberian TIger') at some point. Note that VE's prices are per 100 bulbs, so ADR's per bulb price is a bit better (and I can't resist a better deal, so I bought more! *roll eyes*)

Glad to hear additional muscari jumped in to your cart. So 75 bulbs for $12.50? I'm in! Also happy to buy some VE white bulbs.

Yep, 25 of each for $12.50 -- I don't think they are likely to overrun one another, but plant them away from your species M. armeniacum, or they will gradually be overgrown.

Joyanna decided she wanted to give 'Double King' (red Peruvian) amaryllis as gifts this year -- did anybody not get them last year? Terri, I'm not sure you did amaryllises last year, so if you want one (or 3), we can shake a couple loose.

Rick, there are 25. If you really need more, you can talk me out of my 25 pretty easily. (We got a box of 75 bec. Lisa's neighbor wanted 25).

Lisa, the additional Muscari are coming in boxes of 150 of each variety. I can just split them with you (75 of each variety) if you'd like.

I'm going to wait for VE's fall discount and see what muscari, species tulips, and iris reticulata are left at that point. I'll try to get some white M. armeniacum for us then.

Made the mistake of dropping by VE "just to look" LOL

There's a new-to-me split-corona ("butterfly") daff that's so full and frilly... ! I've got my eye on it together with 'Cassatta' (another with a huge split corona) and 'Lemon Beauty' (lovely lemon "star" center on a white daff). Granted, I told myself I was only going to divide and replant daffs this year... Rolling my eyes.

Face it, we all lie to ourselves like that! I wasn't going to buy any bulbs this year. Right.
