Thank you Luka for your advice!
I will be planting them in grow bags individually. So I shouldn't be worried of viruses being shared in the soil. Now, the other possibility are viruses spread by bugs ( aphids perhaps)...then these I will regularly check and treat if needed with some systemic chem. They will be placed in my warm heated greenhouse. Of course I don't want anything to spread to my vegetables either.
Part of this out of season purchase is to find out a bit around growing these pre-conditioned bulbs as they are now being exported to us here. Hopefully, I'll get another batch in our mid winter and if any left over from the vendor in late spring. Only the latter will I want to plant outside directly in the ground. By then I will have a better understanding about detecting signs of viruses and keeping my plants isolated.
From my exchanges with my vendor, apparently 2020 was a poor year for bulb production worldwide (COVID indirectly related) and a greatly enhanced market demand in Europe and Far East also spurred by soaring gardening because of COVID lockdowns. So bulb availability is unpredictable when it will happen. That is why in my given circumstances, I will stick to what I get in each buy, rather than a planned action spread in time.
Yes, when in bloom I'll try to take pictures and share them here. I read that you also have Robina in your buys. Perhaps we both get blooms almost the same time....
