I did--only 14 though, which is ridiculous considering how much space I don't have, but, you know Rolling my eyes.
Pretty pictures of pretty irises...
straight out of the gate when everything wasn't quite working --I'd been waiting--but it worked just fine Hilarious!

What all did you order Dirt? I've been looking, but not ordering yet. Still need to think about what I'm going to cull to make space.

I have the same issue as you all, Dirt and Tom. For having very little space, I managed to order 14. I worked and worked to dwindle down that order but I just couldn't do it. Every year I am on some new kick. This year I am on a Pastel and White Lace kick.
I can tell you what has been going on in my yard is other things besides Irises, which I have very few left, are getting culled. Lillies, at least most: outta there. I love them but I love Irises more.
If you think there is no more beauty left in the world...Plant a garden!!!

Thomas just posted that while discounts were left off the order blank, they are still in effect. He is sending out postcards with the list.

Thank you Jan. I had difficulty registering, though finally got it to work, after an email to Thom.
My memory is so short, I've already forgotten what I'd even selected, this A.M. One I do recall, I think was 'Belle Fille'.
I skipped 'illuminati', & couldn't recall if I had 'Exploding Galaxy', already, or not.

Oh, chose a 'Sunset Blvd' as I used to walk to get ice cream not all that far away from there or so it seemed at nearby Hollywood, & Vine.

Thought I'd try some Japanese Iris, this year too. Though they're likely going to be delayed, by mail, & fried, or dried out, by time of arrival if slowed shipping, & those mail delays.
.
Or, it'll be sunny - not cloudy, & then they get fried by sun,- then dried out by constant winds !
Then I came upon Greywood's, quite a bit too late !

Picked up a Japanese maple, at Walmart. Since it was dormant, I've no clue what the leaves will look like, other than red.
(I might have waited, to get a known weeping "lace leaf".)
At least it may be easier for me, to produce Japanese Iris seeds, sooner & not later.
I even went for some woody, "tree" Peonies grown , & shipped from Japan. Small consolation, if Tokyo can't do summer Olympics, there.

Would've liked some Aril bred. Were it a beauty, with a name such as Gates of Ancient Kiev. ("Made up", a real real name. haha)
Though I couldn't locate any other than tall bearded. No idea why.

I just don't know how I'm going to coordinate colors, of various blooms, & leaf shapes, or any of that. I'm so hoping, that we have a much better Spring, which seems to be taking forever, to get to this point here, this year.

I think I did get one of those 'Just Witchery' a couple years ago. If you'd not brought it to my attention, I'd have missed out on it, entirely !
Hope to be around, to see flowers again at least several more times, & that it keeps up, with increases.

Yeah, I have a confirmation email Evelyn, but I can forget really quickly, unless I write it down.
I had just looked at the list, picked some out, & clicked "Add to order."
Plain, & simple.
Are you curious of the others ?
I could jot them down, & post.

I don't know if I'm "poor enough" to also buy one of those Schreiner's orders,also..
Perhaps, some may be Ghio's.
All depends upon my mood, & "the look".

Though, apart from the couple I had mentioned already ( I had used Paypal) & didn't see how to access the other Iris, (Unless, accessed from main page ?)
No catalog, so was very glad, Jan posted this !

(Yep, these little mini sized computers, are really something else !) Want my new Galaxy, as the digi camera on it, is supposedly very excellent

O.K. Evelyn. Bond Girl, Instant Attraction, Baltic Sea, Ocean Liner (All Daphne's fault, as she had me intrigued, by showing that one, prior one, or next.)
Ocean Liner, Water Waltz.
Almost got a rhizome, of Sharp Dressed Man.

Then later, I'll took at what's on offer at Schreiner's. That's If, my "Monopoly Money", isn't all played out ! ( Or, I think this summer may just be too darned hot, to plant!)
It does tend to go into Oct. nowadays.

Not even Monopoly money can buy Iris, when they're already Sold Out, at Schreiner's. One with a name beginning with 'Playing... Then there was a Ghio I definitely wanted, & was too late for that one, also.
At least I think I got a rhizome of a Cayeaux, or two.

Well record setting rain last year and through the beginning of this year has opened up plenty of spots for me. Crying Thumbs down But of those who survived the deluge, some of Tom's are looking great. Medal of Honor is robust as is Autumn Tease. My new SDB's I ordered from them have mostly all survived as well. We had a warm but very wet winter, and are now having very cold yo-yoing with warm temps. Usually by Mid-March I have dwarfs in bloom and a TB or two. Nothing near ready this year. Trying to decide on ordering. Would love to replace a few new ones I lost but losing them to all the rain is disheartening. My LA's and JI's on the other hand are looking better than ever being water lovers.

Sorry to hear you lost so many, Leslie, Yes, the little ones seem to be better at survival then the tall ones. Too early to tell here, but the ones near the house are already showing a bit of growth. Even the ones the rabbits chewed on are showing some growth. We're in a yo yo temperature period now, that usually takes out some. 20 degrees the last two mornings including today, and then expected highs in the 50's. Rain possible Monday thru Wed. I still have not ordered any. I have to see what I loose, and what I need to cull to make space.

I should really not order plants as I am not sure that I can do much in the garden any more. But Paul Black has a tet IB which is an unusual type. Pumila crossed onto it should produce fertile MDBs. I hope someone else thinks of that.

Lucy....it is so frustrating to be unable to do everything which we would like to do in the garden. I wish I could kneel and crawl around to clean-up and weed. Bending over is OK but not like getting right down there......I'm so lucky to have excellent garden helpers but wish I could do more than "just throw orders Hilarious! ". At least we can still enjoy the beauty.

Lucy and Paul ~ I understand.

Lucy ~ I hope you will be able to aquire a garden helper. It would make all the difference in the world.

Paul ~ You are so very fortunate to have such a capable helper.

It has been a long year for me, as I too, have been unable to work in the garden for most of last year. I am hoping to aquire a helper too. Not easy to find. (My great-grandkids live too far away.)
