Thanks. We enjoy our cows. Have to give credit to my husband who does a ton of the work caring for them. We had a light shower this afternoon and things have cooled down. Thunder is rumbling in the distance. The skeeters are in full force at our house. Snapped a few the best I could while doing jumping jacks so the skeeters didn't get me!

It looks pretty black in person. In brighter light, you can see a red cast to it. It is gorgeous! I got it as bonus this past summer from Iris Sisters. Here are some other photos I took of it.

The iris are beautiful, and the calves are adorable! So glad that the injured one is recovering!

We had thunderstorms last night, but today was a sunny day! It is cooling down the rest of the week and weekend.

Yes, I looked back at my invoices and it was written on it as a bonus. The same vendor plantings from that year are around it, too. It's weird how the beard has darkened over time. It definitely is unusual. At first, I didn't like it, but it has grown on me. I should be able to divide some this summer if you'd like. I may be able to divide bird call too.

Well, the Northern Lights were spectacular last night. Glad we got out there early to see them. It clouded up and has pretty much rained all day today. So, I have wet bloom pics.

Northern lights are on my bucket list. Maybe tonight!

You are so lucky! DH (despite his pain from a tooth removal and infected socket grinding and then a bone graft yesterday) went out last night, hoping to see some Northern lights. Nope, we are apparently too far south for that.

Oh, and lots of nice little SDBs, rain or no rain!

If you get a break in the rain, Chocolate Swirl also has a light chocolate scent. It is a cool little iris.

Oh darn, I was up at midnight to check my mare who is getting close to foaling time and forgot to look for Northern Lights.

I looked out at about 10 PM. Nothing. Clouds may have blocked it. And then there is our huge maple tree blocking most of our view to the north, too.
