Our families Verschuren have been growing roses since 1875. Last year, on the occasion of our 150th anniversary, we planted some 2500 historic Heritage Verschuren roses in our village, to share with our local community.
Some 228 new roses have been bred by our families throughout these centuries and we try to collect as many of our roses as possible. Of course will not all roses be tracable anymore (e.g. cut or florist roses), but we do encounter unexpected findings.
Some of the roses we are still trying to locate and bring back are: Pechtold's Flame/Tudor, Hens Verschuren, Holland Beauty, Aviator Parmentier, Charles Gregory, Cynthia, Dutch Beauty, Firedance, Flair, Frank Reader, Henriëtte Pechtold, Hortulanus Budde, Hortulanus Fiet, Immortella and more.
