Well this is it's first year with more than one bloom stalk, and bud. It has not tried to re-bloom here, but our summers are so hot I think that inhibits the re-bloom. Dave, have you tried moving yours? It might help, since you are doing everything else right for it. If mine hadn't improved this year I was going to go over to Duke Gardens and ask how they get theirs to bloom and re-bloom. (light bulb goes off) Need to ask how they get re-bloom!

We found that Immortality was difficult to get started, but once it was settled to be a reliable rebloomer. We are north of Boston, zone 6a or b depending on which map you trust. I often see it fall blooming in people's gardens who are obviously just general gardeners.

I moved half of an Immortality clump to a totally different location. Will see what happens.
Good idea to visit Duke Gardens for some ideas.

Good to know Lucy. Maybe this year, if the summer isn't too dry.

Dave - any excuse to go to Duke Gardens is a good one! But I have seen Immortality in bloom there in September. In about a week their iris garden should be in full bloom so I will time it to go then.

It is suppose to rain all day tomorrow, so of course Purr Form Mints (my first Burseen to bloom!!!) opens only part way. And it has all the spoons waiting to go. Hope I can catch it in it's glory between raindrops.

Here are teaser pics:
