Having a run of bad luck (guess I'll call it that.) Down to just one cat. He's deaf. Not so much fun for me since he doesn't come running when I call him. Got to be hard for him though. I'd think hearing is a large part of hunting for a cat. If you lived alone and were deaf would you realize that you are missing something? Gene

My cat Peck comes when you call him, he does think he is a dog so that may have something to do with it

So had some errands to do including going to Petco and getting Lily another bag of Raw Instinct frozen dog food. I buy her the medallions. They are small, about around like a quarter but about 3/4 inch thick. So you can see its not a lot of food for each piece.

I vary the protein source but this time I got lamb.

I mix it with re-hydrated Honest Kitchen dog food for her dinner.

For her morning meal she gets her raw chicken wing and while I was at the grocery store I did buy two packs of chicken wings. One will be for me and the other I will package up one at a time for Lily.

So today in a christmas bag I find hanging on my front door a nice spiffy new coat for Lily. No note, no card, just the present.

Now I am trying to figgure out who left it so I can thank them. I do think it was Lily's little friend Benny from three houses down the block. Benny got presents from Lily and his mom got presents from me. But like all my other friends Benny had already given us presents so I honestly don't know why another present.

But the coat is lovely and Lily looks spiffy in it.

Gene . My SIL has a deaf cat -- hard when you can't get their attention verbally. You might be able to communicate by foot stomping or something...

Yes, I've done that in the summer time. But it is now winter, it is an outdoor cat. Not sure how far my foot stomps travel on frozen ground. Gene

Oh -- I agree Gene; I was thinking more in terms of the floor in the house.

I will ask her when I see her and thank her if it was her. If not, keep searching for the present giver!!

@flaflwrgrl Bear is the one who has "bug phobia"....really rather funny since he is usually the first to alert when he/they, see a stranger....the ruff goes up and the growl begins, but don't dare let a bug get near him It's been cold here the last couple days and he has been in play mode like he was still a puppy

A very Happy New Year to us all. Both people and our four footed furry friends!!

It's a good thing our dogs are BIG dogs. Poor Lily would disappear in the snow that has accumulated over the past few days!

Lily hates the snow. Well, me too!!

So I took Lily out today for our exercise walk and we walked from 12 till 3. It was a nice day considering it is beginning of January. Have to take advantage of the better days to be outside this time of year.

Yep, I think by next weekend you're supposed to be cold again from what I read.
