I went out in the freezing cold and this was the best that I could get. Shrug! Too bad the house was in the way and the dang TV antenna.

A lovely clear full moon!!

-26 is not something I can imagine. Don't want to ever have to have that here!!

To me it is terribly cold today at maybe 22 but the wind is fierce so makes it wind chill of 13. Plenty nasty enough for me. Grumbling

Thank you Rita! I tip my hat to you.

We are still in frozen mode, -22f last night, bright and sunny again today which I love, but it is only 6f degrees, luckily no wind. The cold water line to the kitchen froze, soon as we turned the heat up a few degrees it thawed.

I can honestly say I would rather be too hot then to have a frozen water line. That is where I draw the line. Glare Hilarious!

I agree, the moon shots are awesome. Thumbs up

We're in frozen mode too. Strange this morning as it was 17F like they said it would be. Then a snow squall came through around noon with a blast of warmer air pushing the temp up to 28. As the snow let up the temp dropped like a rock, down to 20 within a half hour. The steady fall started late this afternoon as the wind picked up, 12 out now with sustained winds of 20+ and gusts to 30+. Not sure what the wind chill is...expecting with lower temps below zero over night to be -25 to -30. Not worried about frozen pipes, you are lucky yours thaw easily Margaret...just Crossing Fingers! the wind doesn't take out the power overnight.

Take care Ginny, check in with us when you can!

Margaret, what wonderful pictures of the moon ! I can almost hear the snap of the snow as you walked around taking those pics . You cant get much more clear a sky than that . I bet it was still , still , still out there . Just lovely.

Today is almost the same as yesterday temps wise -25 celcius but finally there is no wind . It is actually quite pleasant out there . Went out to let the chickens and ducks out . They were stuck inside yesterday because of the wind so things were a little tense inside the coop this morning. We have a Colorado low heading our way though , getting ready to dump more snow on us . Do you think you might just want to keep your Colorado lows to yourselves down there ? We dont want them . Just an FYI

All the plowed paths are blown over and there is a 5 foot drift in front of my greenhouse ( figures )cuz that is where I keep my straw for the animals . So will have to wait till tomorrow to get some fresh stuff for them once my DH plows it out .

We got 1.6 inches of rain overnight - always overnight, remember. They are calling for a high today of 58F. If that happens, it will be the coldest day of the year.
