Sheesh!!! That is over 16 feet. Considering the drought you all have had though, I am hoping this is good news. I have heard That COlorado is way behind on snowfall, this year. I know here in Southern NM, we have a very warm winter this far but we are finally going to get a hard freeze. And we got rain today too!!!
If you think there is no more beauty left in the world...Plant a garden!!!
A gentle, constant rain started last night until almost noon today with a period of heavy downpour in the middle of the night. It rained so hard it woke me. There are still puddles in the yard which is unusual as this ground soaks up water like a sponge.
It must have been a very significant amount of rain. And more rain forecast for tonight and tomorrow.
There hasn't been any rain for 3 weeks and I was about to start irrigating. I am good for the next 3 weeks!
It is very cold now and windy.

Are you growing Mexican Red Bird of Paradise? (Caesalpinia pulcherrima) or have you seen them growing in your area?
I planted 4 well grown bushes early spring. There are Caesalpinia pulcherrima growing the town park about 2 miles away but I am not certain how the Park Service overwinters those.
Pomegranates froze to the ground last winter but resprouted. I doubt I will ever get a pomegranate if the roots have to regrow every year.
We are on an edge here, enough cold for stone fruit but almost, maybe too cold for poms and red Mexican BOPs.
I can usually tell by February what has frozen at ground level.

Sorry, I have been offline for a few days, due to Verizon. Finally we got our service back late last night.
And today, the snow is beginning to melt and become a slushy mess.
