As a helpful bit of additional info for you, not "alll" roses drop their petals when the blooms are spent, but probably most of them do.
Some turn brown and remain intact and you don't have petals all over the place...thus making deadheading quicker and easier.
Some shatter faster than others, while others may last a week before shattering.
