So for lunch I had my fixed up (additives) Garden Of Life Raw Meal Nutritional Drink. And some yummy blackberries and a nice just perfect banana. Of course bananas not allowed on Keto but I had a banana anyway.

Berries such as Strawberry, Blueberry, Rasberry and (my favorite) Blackberries are allowed. But most fruit such as apple. watermellon, pinapple, peaches, cantalope and tropical fruits not allowed on keto.

Planning on Chicken and potato salad for dinner.

I have seen much on Y-tube about todays modern Wheat. Much different than the Wheat from ages ago. Roundup ready so sprayed with roumdup. Which we end up eating traces of. Also bigger and fatter grains that have been bred to be resistant to bugs.

I love bread, have eaten lots my entire life. But now on keto to reduce my stiffness and sorness and inflamation. Was it the bread? The sugar? Probably both.

I have lost weight and am now at my goal weight of 105. Have not been this low weight since high school when I was 17. Then I was 99 to 101. But too lare for that. That ship has sailed

I love strawberries but the ones at the local supermarket are not very sweet so I usually don't buy them

I bought some pears last week that look like Bartletts, turn from green to yellow like they're supposed to, but have the consistency of concrete. They finally made a pear shipping-proof and eating-proof at one blow. I'll try poaching them.
The California strawberries were pretty good, in spite of a few green shoulders, and the blueberries are fine.
Behind every opportunity is a disaster in waiting.

Son bought five of those hard green pears. Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers! I rarely buy pears, as they rarely ripen well for me.
Plant it and they will come.

DH buys the pears here, he never checks where they come from, Glare I can tell as soon as I look at them that they will end up in the garbage. USA grown are usually good, they do take a little time to ripen, Canada grown are good, Argentina some are terrible, some are good, the latest ones were good. To ripen I just leave them in a basket on the counter and they ripen fine.

My green bananas stayed green long time. When they did get hint of yellow 💛, may be too soft.

Breakfast was Plain yogurt, strawberries cut up with some sugar, and pumpkin-flax granola.
I got hungry after bedtime and had a slice of bread with crunchy peanut butter, and some milk.
Plant it and they will come.

Don't toss them! Poach them (preferably in wine and honey with a couple of cloves) or make compote or bake them in a pie.

Hi all!

I am considering rejoining an exercise group. So I went to class and then to eat Mexican for end of month party!

The only negative was that we ate outside. Positive was a nice sunset. Negative was that at sunset 🌇 bugs 🐛 also like to come out. Now termites flying!

The last time I ate there I didn't care for what I ordered, a wrap.
I thought it was soapy cilantro.

This time I ordered garden bowl with mixed veggies 😋!
I liked it better! It was warm with roasted veggies, 🥕 and cauliflower and looked like canned spinach on top which was odd. In bottom of bowl 🥣 was lettuce and warm creamy cilantro rice which was tasty!

I brought some home 🏡!

Now I am thinking about going there to get garden veggie bowl to divide for work days. Maybe I can add boiled egg for protein!

Then I can eat inside to avoid gnats and termites!

Makes me thankful for food and shelter!

And friends and family!

Tonight is family activity.

Glad there's group of ladies having fun with food & fitness!

Now I need to put pork in crock pot to cook while cook is away!

Happy May Day!

Sounds like this thread might be helpful.

I recently found out I have a medical problem and my doctor wants me to avoid carbohydrates, fats and sugars. I'm also already vegetarian. Between the two, I'm struggling to figure out what to eat, so I've been skipping meals...

Sounds like keto is similar to what I have to do?

Wow..............doesn't leave you much except low-cal water. LOL Are fruits out because of the sugars, or is it just the added sugars?

He didn't say anything about fruit. Based on the chart he gave me, I'm mostly to eat vegetables and some fruit. Says 7-10 servings of vegetables a day? That seems like a lot. Blinking

I am a really bad cook. And lately now especially with the weather and Spring I spend time out in the garden. Much tired when done for the daay and been just wishing someone would cook and serve me a nice meal.

Whar to do? Start looking into fresh cooked meals delivered with these meal kit services. Not the prep ones where you cook the indgreatents but the ones all cooked and done by real chefs that I just need to heat up in the micro wave.

First find three. Factor, Fresh and Lean and Freshly. Not that thrilled with the menues.

Keep lookiin. Remember there are some right close by here on Long Island. Not liking menue of the one in town. All bread and pasta not for me. Second next town over, great menue. Great healthy options but very pricy. Very.. Would cost me about $150.00 for 5 meals.

Keep looking.. Stumble upon a health focused one for less money. Give you a break on first order. So 6 meals low carb and I only paid $66.00.

I odered that one. I don't really want it delivered again each week so I have to remeber to skip weeks. I don''t see any way to make it say every two weeks. We will se how it goes as I can'y spend too much. But we will see what I think of those first meals.

Then I will either skip weeks or simply cancel.
