What are the most widely used gardening forums where new gardeners can mingle with experienced gardeners and have all of their gardening questions answered in a kind manner?

NGA, allthingsplants.com, garden.org, and ATP are some good options.

No, seriously though, I hope you haven't encountered any rude members on here, if that's what you're indicating. You can always report a member if you think they're rude. We try to keep the peace on the site. Members who go against that code get banned.

No rude members on here. Everyone has been extremely kind and forthcoming with my queries thus far. That's actually why I'm looking to join more garden forums. I'm looking for more ways to interact with gardeners and expand my gardening knowledge.

My suggestion is look under the Community tab for the list of forums and see which ones interest you. You can quickly see the most recent posts. Some plant specific forums are not very active. others, like Daylilies and Iris are very active. For general gardening, the All Things Gardening forum is quite active.

I didn't even know you could do that. As such, I have no idea how to use this website, I only found it because I was asking gardening related questions on Google.

When I started, I didn't know forums existed either... I thought the only forum was the Sedum forum I spent so long on that forum and when I realized different forums existed I wasa so suprised!!

@bobj59108 - what sort of gardening are you interested in? there are forums for vegetable gardening, flower gardening, and all other sorts of things, where you will be welcome to participate. Check out the extensive list of various forums https://garden.org/forums/ and jump onto anything that looks interesting to you. I'm looking forward to "seeing" you around

bobj59108. If you look on the top right of home page you will see logos of an envelope a bell and an oval with line in it . Select that one then select forums list and all the different forums you can look at will appear.

@bobj59108 You might like daily gardening thread for everyone. Everyone is lovely, and we post our general gardening happenings.

The oval with the line is your personal links, like your bookmarks, ones you place there. Forums are found under the Community tab.

Welcome. You would be totally welcome on the aroid forum, we get very little traffic new members are cherished LOL

If you like vegetable gardening, we have several threads within that forum, great fun, and I've sure learned a lot on those threads! We have a tomato thread and a pepper thread, plus a general veggie thread. I have found if you have a question about a specific plant, such as day lilies or roses, there are places within those forums where you can post your questions. There are a lot of very knowledgeable folks on those forums!
