I figured the "welcome" forum was a good place to post this tidbit of info...

If you (or anybody you know) are interested in moving to the Vienna, VA area (DC metro), my mom's best friend is moving out of a lovely house with EXTENSIVE GARDENS there. Both house and gardens have been maintained and upgraded over the past 43 years. There's a spectacular Magnolia in the front yard, huge deck in back, lots of birds & butterflies...

I had to mention it here, because most realtors don't have a clue how to find a great yarden. :-)

edited to say -- they are under contract! Assuming closing goes smoothly, a young couple will be moving in soon. Nice to think that this great house will have a chance to raise another family. I have lots of great memories of the place... their 2 kids are very nearly the same ages as my brother & I, and we spent a lot of holidays and vacations together.

Profile badges are now available for all states in the Mid-Atlantic Region. As with the other badges, you need 5 acorns to purchase a badge.

Delware, Maryland and West Virginia were added today, 06-Sep-2016

The Delaware badge is the state outline with the Tiger Swallowtail butterfly, which is the state butterfly.

The Maryland badge is the outline of the Maryland Blue Crab filled in with the Maryland state flag. The flower in the left claw is the Black Eyed Susan, Maryland's state flower.

For West Virginia, the "Flying WV" is the most widely used logo in West Virginia University athletics.
