Mary Ann, that High Master is gorgeous. I think what makes it so appealing is the golden 'inner glow' radiating out from the center. There are several iris with this look now, I would like to get some for my collection.

And that would be a good potential theme for a future thread! maybe for Iris Week. nodding

High Master is a luminata, right? I'm so loving luminatas- "inner glow" is what I call that quality too, that reminds me of Thomas Kincaid paintings.

Lucy, your aril seedling is precious!

I think it will be a popular thread. Luminatas come in all shapes and sizes so there is a lot to love!

I find luminatas captivating, and that will be a great thread! I've seen several border bearded luminatas that I really want. I think I like the idea of looking down into the glowing center....not that I would ever turn down a tall one, LOL.

Well, true I suppose, but those shorties are (or will be) closer to the edge of the garden. My beds are big, and by May its like fighting a jungle to get to the middle, LOL. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing twister getting in there Rolling on the floor laughing

I know about Twister, I do that for taking pictures! And sometimes I loose and a plant suffers for it. Hilarious! Balance ain't what it used to be and getting out of some of the crouching positions is not easy anymore either!

Hilarious! I would have to tame the jungle because I like to smell all the irises.

Thanks Marilyn - I bought it from Schreiner's three years ago and it really took off like a weed.
